trying to sort out my van stock now, going to be a right pain, have to collect it all, write down the part code, load it. Feck sake, i thought i had left the warehouse shite behind me years ago! 
Was with a client this morning with a weird issue. Couldnt FTP. Could connect, could list contents, could even transfer some files, but not everything.
Turned out to be a firmware issue on their router! Feckin weird!
RESOLUTION: Update the 3com firmware to version 1.3,issue resolved

So im going to mess further with Virtual PC today. Im going to setup and create a 2003 SBS server. This should be fucking interesting!

Been busy today, playing with Virtual PC, got XP setup and running. Its a nifty little piece of kit alright, im ashamed that i havent been using it for longer. I am going to get a copy of 2003 SBS now and go through setting that up. Should be a bit of fun, apparently it requires you to leave aside a lot of your day!
Went for lunch with some of the work crew too, they all seem like decent lads. Should be a good laugh except for most of them leaving! I hope its not a sign!!

Its Friday. Brilliant, I love Fridays. That sense of “IM OUTTA HERE, FUCK THE LOT OF YOU, DIE ROARING, see you on monday” just cannot be beaten.
So i came in this morning and took a route suggested by one of my fellow engineers. Good man, saved me about 10 minutes to be honest. Though I did have 20 minutes to kill when i got into work, and i suspect that traffic was very very light this morning.
My first belt of training has been scheduled, for March 4th. Im pretty impressed with the enthusiasm that has been shown towards getting my corporate-undead ass into shape. I wonder though is it enthusiasm or the imminent leaving of one of the engineers. Nothing to motivate you like a shit storm approaching!!
Ok, my new job is in Waterford. The wrong side of waterford unfortunately. I have to go through New Ross and across the Bridge of Doomed Drivers in waterford! Takes me about 25~30 minutes to get to waterford. It then takes me 40 minutes to get about 2 kilometres from the outskirts of waterford across the previously mentioned bridge.
Currently in Waterford there is a ring road being built, and a new bridge apparently. It should be pretty cool when finished. The problem is, it wont be done till like 2009!
Now this new road looks very impressive, I drive under several sections that are under construction, and it should alleviate a lot of issues in Waterford, but the real issue here is WHERE THE FUCK IS EVERYONE GOING AND WHY CANT THE BUGGER OFF SOMEWHERE ELSE???
Today i am wearing my red shirt and my “I dont speak Ugly” t-shirt. The look in general is very nice, the shirt is very comfortable, and the t-shirt is again helping me to “keep it real”!
Its not as busy as yesterday, i have so far helped two people find IT salvation.
Vista is growing on me, like the plague. I must rid myself of it.
However, i believe my ire with it is in fact derived from the pants keyboard i have. Its a Fujitsu Siemens jobbie, and its pretty shite, i dislike the feel of it
