1. I got my DSL installed. 7MB! 
nice! I have yet to game with it, so here’s hoping, but i did download the 550mb patch for battlefield 2142 in about 15 minutes. So thats pretty nice! Link Here

Hmmmmm, followed by much rubbing of my chin, and further hmmmm’s
StarWars Glaxies was one of the first MMORPG’s thgat became really popular, but it died a slow and painful death. Why?
Well lets look at LucasArts and their approach to games. I am of the belief that LucasArts in their struggles to make great games end up handicapping themselves. Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy. Great games built on the quake engine. And they were commercial successes. But their after life was next to nill
I am part of a group that uses both of the above, and other LA products (TIE Xwing vs Tie Fighter, X-Wing Aliance) and all of them have 0 after-life and almost no support from LA. Jesus, if they even let the source code of TIE and XvT out, im certain that there would be a huge surge in their popularity!
But i digress. Will a new MMORPG from LA be any good? Given the results of Galaxies, I will not be holding my breath.

I had a nasty encounter with wlctrl32 in aq clients office.
First, Symantec Corporate would not detect the virus. I had to install the trial of PrevX to detect the malware.
once that was done the issue of removal came up.
Luckily someone has had the issue before me, Experts Exchange
The two main applications that helped with this issue were ComboFix and SDFix
In addition to their main download locations (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe, http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/RemovalTools/SDFix.exe) i have added them here: ComboFix and SDFix
To use these, disable System Restore first.
I am not in anyway supporting these tools, however
SDFix:
Double click on SDFix.exe. It should automatically extract a folder called SDFix to your system drive (usually C:\). Please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
Your system will take longer than normal to restart as the fixtool will be removing files.
A text file should automatically open.
On ExpertsExchange the expert used this log file to create a script of files and drivers for Combo Fix to remove. I have not yet figured out where they pulled the content from, but here is what they suggest they put into a file called CFScript.txt. This file is then dragged over onto the ComboFix exe. It will try and remove them

Combo Fix: Disable your AntiVirus and any real-time Anti-spyware monitors that are running.
Note 1: Do not mouseclick combofix’s window while it’s running. That may cause it to stall.
Note 2: Remember to re-enable your Anti-virus and Anti-spyware.
Click START then Run…
Now type Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK. Note the space between the X and the U, it needs to be there.The above procedure will:
Delete the following:
ComboFix and its associated files and folders.
VundoFix backups, if present
The C:\Deckard folder, if present
The C:_OtMoveIt folder, if presentReset the clock settings.
Hide file extensions, if required.
Hide System/Hidden files, if required.
Reset System Restore.
This worked first time for me. No issue at all.

Instructions:
Wash and prepare all Other Halves for between 30 and 120 minutes at varying degrees of heat. Sprinkle with Pop Music

Marinade Other Halves and Bunch of Mates in seperate containers of Bacardi Breezer/Spirits and Beer respectively
When prepared, move to the entire collection of ingredients to the any of the Drinking Venues. Try to ensure it is the furthest away from home, so as to make the journey from thelast pub to the after party as quick as possible. Its all in the preparation!
Stop off in almost every pub on the way, soaking the ingredients with various mixers!
For entertainment value, have on of the Bunch of Mates invade the stage of the pub band, and let rip with various U2 tunes!
When the pub’s are closed, call sister that has been working so not drinking for a lift home. Tell her she’s feckin deadly
Get home, turn on the Wii, get stuck into some boxing!

Anyone who wants a little bit of excitement in their lives should take up a job that involves driving in Ireland. Specifically something small and nippy, along backroads, in wet, nah, apocolyptic conditions, with the odd farmer in a jeep or tractor that comes out of no where, floods that block all the main roads, and a complete disregard for the wheels of your chosen chariot (you have to in Ireland, cant see the road for the pot holes on the back roads!)
This morning I arrived into work about an hour and a half late. The reason, Global feckin Warming causing the mental storms we are having and the flooding that resulted in New Ross being unpassable

Please bear in mind that i first went to New Ross, only to turn back and make for Inistioge!
Now, with the knowledge that it would be easier for Kilkenny Senior Hurling team get through to the final of the world figure skating championship than go home through New Ross, I decided that some wandering was required.

Finished my Fujitsu/Siemens “training”. Wasnt bad, their software is a bit clunky. The HP equivilent is much more streamlined and easier to use. However I liked the theory behind their remote agents and the SNMP reporting. Good for something like a corporate environment but i dont think it will be of huge advantage for me in here, with one or two servers scattered out around the place
Cant help feeling it was more a sales push though than training. Every second sentence was “this is not a sales push”. No where better to hide something that right in front of people eh!
Things are coming together nicely in here and in my home (real) life. New Job, new car (well company car, but still), new dog (Chewie), new games console (WIIIII!!!), possibly a new house. Now if my better half can get the first of my list sorted, then we’d be feckin delighted altogether! And thats enough new stuff for us for the moment!
In work things are going along nicely. I have Fujitsu training tomorrow that should be, eh, well its a day out in Dublin! Its also an auld certification to not so be sniffed at.
