Following this Saturday May 28th, The High Stool in Limerick finally closes it's battered doors.
The mother and father of all horrible last-hurrahs kicks off @ 10pm on Saturday night and gallops on until 6am on Sunday fucking morning!!
€15 @ the door to cover the cost of the PA, lights, security and all the other shit that goes into a shindig like this... 6 bands to play on the night (incl The Swarm, Giveamanakick, Atrophy, Hatch77 + more tbc) with a DJ afterwards.
There will be NO DRINK ON SALE in the High Stool so make sure to bring gallons of your own!!! Oh yah, for all the black-lunged sons of bitches among ye, smoke away to yere hearts content...who's gonna stop ye, the Law? Haha.

best late nite bar by a country mile, no such thing as a lock in, u just left whenever you were ready, many's a nite we had severe problems negotiating the 400+ steps and complex tunnel system to get to the jacks in the basement, the only place to have both the stone roses and slayer on the same jukebox, spiderman - the worlds most inefficient barman ever, the only pub in limerick that doesn't kick u out when u fall asleep in it, lads puking down the front of their jumpers and still drinking, i could go on, it will be missed
it'll only hit home some thursday night around midnite in town when we've nowhere else to go
