the lads

I fullfilled a life long ambition of mine at the weekend and finally saw the beastie boys live in concert on saturday night. seen as we see about as much of them in ireland as we do of hayley's comet i was well looking forward to it and by god they didn't disappoint. The tent they were in was packed and they absolutley tore the place a new one for the guts of two hours. highlight of the weekend along with tryin to put up Brendain's party tent on arrival on the friday

Overall the festival was very good, saw some other very good bands like the polyphonic spree, primal scream, the go team and the chemical brothers along with some class comedy (PJ gallagher is one funny bastard) and a whole rake of off the wall stuff as well (barn dances, fosset's circus etc) and it made for one hell of a weekend. even the rain stayed away

Throw in Kilkenny's win on Sunday and all is good in the world. glad i booked yesterday off work too.

As the Ninger lad sad, some hell of a wkend. Loads of hippies, getting off my head on coffee, wandering around the woods and seeing bands just playing, not knowing who thet were. beastie boys were one of the big hihglights with some surprisesincluding Paul Hartknoll, The Manics and Mr Scruff. Only down sides where not being able to get into the tent to see Modest Mouse and the missing Duke Special for the Beastie Boys
