DSL is the only option. There are no wireless options available that are trust worthy. If he has a phone line in the house get him to have it tested here:

Here is eircoms version

I myself have the 2MB talktime bundle from eircom, works out around 60 bucks a month. Thats not bad at all.

No bother lad, but that doesnt include any connection fees.

Also, eircom will not under any circumstances guarantee that a new line will support broadband. When your bro is asking about it, if not already connected, tell him to ask that his line be checked to be a Digital Subscriber line, and if not, can it be upgraded. I dont believe that he will be charged for these things, they are done in the exchange.

Where did he buy?

himself and angela are married now, and they bought a house together, not actually sure where it is, haven't had the chance to call down to it yet.. it's in a new estate anyways.. cheers for the help! any of ye headin to kerbdog on the 22 dec by the way? there should be a crowd of us goin..
