An explaination: These are RSS feeds. Quoting the official RSS v1.0 specification: ‘RDF Site Summary (RSS) is a lightweight multipurpose extensible metadata description and syndication format. RSS is an XML application, conforms to the W3C's RDF specification and is extensible via XML-namespace and/or RDF based modularization.’
Whew, thats a mouthful. Another definition for RSS is Really Simple Syndication. I prefer this one.
Basically they are like headlines from different sites around the web. They produce a file every few hours or once a day and this site goes away and reads the first five items.
Reason for it: I was getting bored with Ate That Scon. It might also get the site a bit of popularity if people click on the stories.
