The clowns that put some of the fiber optic sensors he designed into a bridge out there were from teh Jay Joyce construction family. Arse of a job, so himself had to go show them how to do it. Nice work if you can get it! |

Quote: why are you in Australia if you don't mind me asking!!!i'm missing something here I think! Was there for 3 weeks with work, went the end of march, got back last monday week. We've some sensors on a suspension bridge in a Kangaroo Valley in South NSW, we were out on the bridge doing some maintainance work and putting some new sensors on as well, we had to have lads there from the RTA while we were working on it, hence the ridiculous outfit and sitting an utterly pointless saftey course before doing what we had to do At least i got to keep the hobnailer boots and the hat as a souvenir though If you ever want a job that is the least stressful in the world, the south NSW branch of the RTA is the spot to be in. never met the man in my life we were dealing with a guy who is originally from Limerick and has his own firm out there based in Blacktown in Sydney and the NSW RTA who own and maintain the bridge. Place where the bridge is was very small, about the size of Inistiouge |

All the engineers fault, and the exscavator driver. Feckin rolled over the mark point and that fecked everything up! We laid those pipes so well it took 4 lads to get them out! :) |
