Hey jo, happy new year and all that malarky.

So onto newer and better things. In the next week i will be setting up the new boards. Why: Security reasons mainly, as no one is really using this place anymore.

Happy new year to all, hope ye had a blast.
I wasn't a 1000 miles from ye at all.
I was above in Nurney in Co Carlow. Nust admit lads this was one of the best New Years eve Party I've been at. Spent the night in the only pub in the little village. The bar was owned by the parents of one of the girls we play tag with over the summer and her folks treated us like royalty.
Free drink for the night. Imagine free pints of Guinness. Thought I was in heaven. Started around 7.30 with a couple of the black stuff. This was the way till the 8 of us who made the journey were summoned into the kitchen for a full meal at 10.30. Where we stayed till around 11.45
While in the Kitchen Stella and Havan Club rum with fresh lime were the beverage of choice.
Then once back out in the bar the count down for the new year began. Out came the Champagne and the best chocolate brownies I've ever consumed. Then at 12.30 Paul "Legend of A pub owner " comes up to me and says DJ, "Happy New Year" and hands me a 2 pint glass of the Black Stuff which I have to down in one. Now being the the nice quite lad that I am I accepted his gift greatfully and managed to achieved the feat without spilling a drop. After that the night got a little hazy and the old sea legs kicked in around 2. Went for a quite nap on the couch but was brought back to life for my last game of pool. Then at 3.30 I finally gave way and crasshed on the couch. I was then escorted by the lovely Jill Murray whose parents owned the bar to my own private chamber where I slept till 10 the following morning. :P :P :P :P

Got this from my cousin Siobáin, though she should have posted it herself (me glares in Siobh's general direction, somewhere Dublin direction  )
